Residentials

Year 4

Towards the end of of the year, Year 4 enjoy a 2 night residential at Tattenhall in Cheshire. It is located in a small village, south of Chester. The centre serves an excellent range of nutritious meals and provides a secure and spacious environment for the children to explore.

The children enjoy being more independent as for some, this can be their first experience of being away from home. Making their own beds and tidying up after themselves soon becomes an enjoyable challenge!

The trip focuses on the theme of Science, Survival and Outdoor learning, having the opportunity to take part in activities run by the centre. These include: Bush craft, zip wire, and a tree climb to mention but a few.

Year 6

At the end of a very busy year, the children in year 6 take part in an exciting 3 day residential trip to Robinwood Activity Centre in Todmorden.

It offers the children an excellent opportunity to experience a number of challenging activities, which have included climbing and abseiling, raft building, kayaking and orienteering.

These activites encourage the children to develop essential team building skills and enables them to stretch themselves to their limits and sometimes beyond, thereby realising their true potential.

A thoroughly enjoyable 3 days is enjoyed by all, quite often wet, usually muddy, however,  the children return full of thrilling tales of accomplishment. As their teacher, it is a fantastic trip in which you are able to witness the children learning, playing and growing to become a stronger unit.
